About SUP

After a thorough renovation, we reopened SUP’s doors in March 2025. Unfortunately no longer as living and working spaces, but a place where the focus is on cultural programming and art education in the broadest sense. With studios and workspaces where you can experiment, work quietly and have room for crafts.

With more than 3,000 m² full of creatives, we are a vibrant place. There are spaces for public functions, such as CHEF Amsterdam where you can get your fresh coffee every day, and workshop spaces with cultural programming for the neighbourhood. Whether you are an established artist or a social organisation looking to function in a creative environment-there is room for everyone.

 

The lay-out of SUP
The six-story building offers 5 sound studios, 88 studios and workspaces (12m² – 86m²), each with its own atmosphere and common areas. An inspiring place for makers, entrepreneurs and artists to grow, share and collaborate. In addition to art education on the first floor, the larger 30m2 spaces on the first and second floors lend themselves well to artists & makers who need more space. Think large sculptures, but also space for craft & furniture makers. The more stairs you go up in SUP’s beautiful stairwell, the smaller the spaces become and the more suitable for silent disciplines.
