As a documentary and portrait photographer in search for the unusual and the odd, I usually end up exploring the darker, alienated side of life. Even in the most common places. Does that make my work gloomy? Not at all. I find great pleasure in casting a light-hearted, ironical perspective on the darker side of life.
I work for a variety of clients including the Van Gogh Museum, We Are Public and Hudsons’s Bay. When shooting non-commercial work, I always use my analogue medium format camera.
