OA/AO with Andrew Norman Wilson | De Appel
OA/AO with Andrew Norman Wilson | 29-01 | 18:30 – 23:00 | De Appel
This first OA/AO of 2019 features artist Andrew Norman Wilson, who will take the OA/AO prompt of discussing a single work, to deconstruct his recent exhibition at “The Center For Contemporary Art Futura” in Prague. This evening with the Los Angeles based artist will include several moving image works, a performative letter reading, and an extensive discussion. We hope to see all on 29 January at De Appel!
Works presented include: I don’t feel the way I’m supposed to feel (Infinite loop, undated), The Unthinkable Bygone (2min 18s, 2016), Reality Models (5min 40s, 2016), Ode to Seekers 2012 (8min 30s, 2016), and Letter to the President and CEO of Buffalo Wild Wings (text).

OA/AO (onder andere/among others) is an ongoing series of screenings, presentations, and conversations that focus around a single work or object. These intimate gatherings feature a range of special guests who are invited to talk about a recent project, idea, or thing, followed by a conversation in which we encourage audience participation. Through these short presentations, De Appel assembles an ongoing collage of the current critical and creative world, asking invited guests to think through and articulate a position towards the material they present, among others.
