Connect at WIJK7

29 June | 17:00 - 22:00 | WIJK7

Wijk7 wants to invite you to experience a moment of group connection, of authenticity and vulnerability in a safe and inspiring way. We believe that the more connected we are to each other, the more meaningful are the moments that we experience together.
Therefore we have made a program that starts with a “Group-Connecting Workshop”, followed by two acts of Spoken Word and ending with a living room concert.
We love to treat our guests in the best way possible so that they want to come back to our house, therefore we will also be offering food and drinks from our tiny bar.
At the break we will ask for a voluntary contribution to support our event.

Program:
17:00 Workshop by Diana and Diego “Exploring Authentic Connection”
18:30 The Bar of the house will be open for Food and drinks
19:00 Lievnath Faber “Spoken word”
19:30 Isa Altink “Spoken word”
20:00 The Bar of the house will be open again for more drinks and snacks.

Diego Nicolás (1977) I am inspired by our ability as human beings to contribute to each others well being and growth only by offering our silent presence and witnessing our humanity.
My studies in music, my experience in Nonviolent Communication and developing cultural events for refugees have brought me to this point where I want to create spaces where to explore authentic connection in the context of Art performance and social events. -photo by www.erikderie.nl

Isa Altink (1994) writes poetry and short stories, studies at the Bildung Academie and works at bookstore van Rossum and as a fiction editor for online platform deFusie. She is currently part of the Talent Hub Brabant development trajectory for writers called WOLK, and her work (in Dutch) has been published on platforms such as Notulen van het Onzichtbare and Op Ruwe Planken. In her writing, she likes to explore (urban) alienation, unusual inner worlds, people in disappearing professions, and the changes in the world in general (such as the blending of digital and mental landscapes). She loves crazy ideas and connecting things that seemingly don’t belong together, such as mindfulness terrorists or an angel on a Harley Davidson. Central to her stories is often human behaviour and communication, and in particular the (comical) failures (‘gestuntel’) that occur.

Diana Dugulan (1985) Mother of two kids, traveller, coach and trainer in process of certification with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication in the US (CNVC). Learning, teaching and living NVC since 2013. Economist and university teacher by profession, holding a PhD in economics, I chose to change my path in 2014 offering training and coaching mainly in Europe and in places I travel to. -photo by www.erikderie.nl

Lievnath Faber (1983) has been living in the Bijlmer Oasis Wijk7 for 5 years now with her almost-10-year-old daughter Zonne. She holds a Research Master in Media Studies about the representation of childbirth in the media and has studied to become a birth and death doula. Her project of becoming a better human being is infused with words – an expression of a well of deep feelings and knowings. Her spoken words have been programmed in Amsterdam (Thuis aan de Amstel), Stockholm (Bait) and The Hague (Filmhuis Den Haag).
