Let’s Get Lost (Bruce Weber, 1988)

It’s not exactly a documentary, more a homage to jazz trumpeter and singer Chet Baker. Filmed in stunning b&w cinematography, less a palette of greys than an X-ray that penetrates Baker’s mystique and somehow preserves it, too. The film stands up fantastically well – even better, than the first time around (1988), now it’s no longer overshadowed by its own fashionability. Wonderful stuff.
